Did the pregame warmups play a role in how the Ohio State at Texas game finished on Saturday night?

Ohio State led Texas by 20 points in the second half. However, the Buckeyes were unable to hold onto the lead. Ohio State fell to Texas, 24-23, giving Steve Sarkisian, Arch Manning and Co. the biggest win of the young college football season.
Manning, who is in his second season as Texas’ starter, was overjoyed by the victory.
“Our guys at all three places, it wasn’t very pretty, but we found a way to win. That’s what good teams do,” he said postgame to Laura Rutledge.
He added: “We couldn’t lose to them again. I had nightmares about that game last year.”
The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning made an interesting admission about the pregame warmups, too.

Arch Manning revealed that Texas chose to warmup indoors prior to kickoff against Ohio State. It was about 100 degrees on the field at kickoff. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, had to warm up outside.
“Figured they could go out in the heat,” Manning said.
Was Ohio State gassed at the end of the game?
While many are blaming Ohio State head coach Ryan Day for coaching too conservatively at the end of Saturday night’s game, the Buckeyes’ defense was gashed by Manning and Co.
Texas had three straight long, scoring drives that essentially sealed the victory for the Longhorns.
Was that just bad defense by Ohio State, or were the Buckeyes tired after having to warm up on the hot field, while Texas got to stay cool indoors?
Perhaps it was a bit of both.
Ultimately, though, it was Texas that held on for a massive Week 2 victory, as Ohio State will head into Week 3 at a disappointing 1-1.
