Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian got roasted by college football fans for blowing off his postgame interview with ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe on Sunday evening.

The Longhorns shocked the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes, 24-23, rallying from a 20-point deficit in the second half. Arch Manning and Co. scored 21 unanswered points in the second half. The Longhorns vaulted up to No. 1 overall in the Top 25 polls on Sunday afternoon.
Sarkisian was really excited following the game. He was so happy, in fact, that he quickly blew off his postgame interview with Rowe. The ESPN sideline reporter was quite annoyed with his behavior.
“The Steve Sarkisian postgame interview with Holly Rowe was quite brief,” Awful Announcing shared.
At halftime, Sarkisian had issues, too. He ran off of the field before he was able to conduct a halftime interview with Laura Rutledge.
“I do want to make sure we clear something up. [Steve Sarkisian] did decline the interview at the half. He had waited a long time, been very patient with some technical issues that we had. He apologized to us. We should be apologizing to him, which we did,” Rutledge said at halftime.

Texas makes excuse for Sarkisian’s behavior, too
On Sunday, Texas blamed technical difficulties for Sarkisian ending his interview with Holly Rowe early, too.
A Texas spokesperson told The Athletic’s Christopher Kamrani that there were issues postgame, too.
According to a Texas spokesperson, ESPN’s technical difficulties arose once again on the field postgame, which played a role in Sarkisian’s demeanor with Rowe, the report stated.
The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch outlined this possible scenario on Saturday night, too.
If you want to give a more generous reading, maybe ESPN experienced technical issues again, and Sarkisian, having already dealt with it, simply decided he didn’t feel like waiting again and got out of there. He wouldn’t have known about ESPN’s on-air apology earlier in the game, and in the heat of the moment, maybe he just didn’t want to waste his time again.

ESPN has yet to issue any statements on the postgame interview scene.
