The “Love Story” singer would be sitting up in her suite at Arrowhead Stadium, as cameras from whatever broadcasting network had the game would pan to her after every big moment. NFL fans began to get annoyed by this. They felt that Swift was being shown too much and taking away too much air time.
Even Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams star Matthew Stafford, called out the NFL for it.
“Now, I have never once said I didn’t like Taylor Swift — ever,” Stafford said to her co-host Hank Winchester during a 2024 episode of their show. “But I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it — actually the NFL’s coverage — of this budding relationship last year. And, can she do anything about that? No, she can’t.”
She added: “It was a good business decision for the NFL but I almost felt like it was outshining the games. And that’s what bothered me. I was a little jealous of the fact that they were getting all this attention and all of a sudden the football game was the sideshow. So yeah maybe I let jealousy get the best of me.”
On Sunday, pop star Madison Beer attended the Chargers vs. Cardinals game. Beer is engaged to be married to Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Photos and videos of Herbert’s fiancee in the stands went viral on social media and on CBS.
But Taylor Swift fans are not happy.
Supporters of Swift believe that NFL fans are being hypocritical when they praise CBS for showing Beer, but criticize other networks for showing their favorite pop star on the TV screen.
Taylor Swift fans criticize the NFL
Swift fans believe that they are held to a double standard.
“So y’all okay with this but when it was Taylor Swift yall cried like some silly babies,” one Swift fan wrote.
“You people had your pitchforks out after seeing taylor swift for a fraction of this amount of time, men are so irritating,” one fan added.
NFL fans had made comments like: “Give me the Madison Beer cam over the Taylor Swift cam 1000 times out of 1000.”

It’s understandable why the Swifties would be upset.
