The Los Angeles Chargers took on the Arizona Cardinals in a Week 1 NFL regular season game on Sunday afternoon. Justin Herbert and the Chargers were upset by the Cardinals to open up the year.
“Some just uncharacteristic things happened,” Jim Harbaugh said. “I would call it sloppy at times, too sloppy. And that’s something we got to get fixed.”
Herbert added: “We can’t expect to win like that and we have to do better.”
But while the Chargers lost the game, Herbert’s fiancee, Madison Beer, constantly went viral on social media. She was shown repeatedly throughout the game. But did CBS’s camera operators go too far with their zooming in on Beer?

Beer did not appear to be happy with the zooming in from CBS’s cameras, at one point expressing her frustration. She appeared to say “why are they filming me?” during the middle of the game.
But everyone jumped on the video.
Even ESPN’s “SportsCenter” tweeted out a zoomed-in clip of Beer at the game, supporting her future husband.
NFL fans reacted to CBS’s zooming in on Beer
“Stop showing these shots during football. It’s annoying,” one fan wrote.
“Y’all know what you are doing,” one fan added.
“2026 Madison Beer = 2024 Taylor Swift. It’s too much,” one fan added.
The Chargers, meanwhile, are hoping to do better moving forward, too.
“Not the way we would want it to go,” Harbaugh said. “And so I know the group of competitors we have, it’s the feeling of you get punched and how we respond is what I’m thinking about right now.”
