Newcomer David Kiefer was nearly perfect last week, going 14-1 to take the overall lead over Christian Babcock and me.
We both went 11-4 and now trail Kiefer by one game. Mike Lefkow is four games back.

This week’s big matchups include Pittsburg’s visit to Mission Viejo on Friday night, another huge test for the storied East Bay program. HSratings.com’s computer projects the visitors to lose 35-21.

Kiefer does not.
He’s taking Pittsburg.
“I just think Pittsburg hasn’t played their best game,” Kiefer said, having covered the Pirates’ respectable 26-14 loss to St. John Bosco two weeks ago. “I was really impressed with their aggressiveness and their play on the line against Bosco.”
