A popular frozen dessert is being recalled over concerns that it could contain small stones and other foreign materials, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
The recalled dessert was distributed to retailers nationwide, including select grocery stores in California.

Which food product was recalled in California? Why?
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Danone USA recalled select pints of So Delicious Dairy Free ice cream because they “may contain foreign objects.”
According to the FDA, the dessert could contain small stones and other hard objects along with cashews.
The recall specifically affects containers of So Delicious Dairy Free’s Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert.
No other So Delicious Dairy Free flavors or products are included in the recall.
The company initiated the voluntary recall after receiving consumer complaints, the FDA said.
“Danone USA is working with retail partners to remove (the) affected product from shelves, the FDA said in a Sept. 15 news release. “Unaffected product is still available on shelves, and product shipped going forward is not affected by this recall.”

The recalled product comes in pint-sized containers and can be identified by the following information:

The recall applies to pints with “best by” dates on and before April 3, 2028.
Where was the recalled ice cream sold?
The recalled frozen dessert was “distributed to retail stores within the United States,” the FDA said.
The product was sold at select Walmart stores in California, company officials said in a news releae.
Target also issued a recall for the frozen dessert sold at select stores in California.
What should I do if I purchased the recalled dessert?
If you purchased the recalled non-dairy frozen dessert, do not eat it.
Consumers should contact the So Delicious Dairy Free Consumer Care Line at 833-367-8975 for a replacement coupon or refund, according to the FDA.
Customer care specialists are available 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
