On Friday, Sept. 18, Pasteria Italiana LLC, an artisanal pasta manufacturer in Paramount, recalled two frozen, because they contain might milk that was not mentioned on the label.
The products were distributed throughout California.
How can I tell if I bought recalled pasta?
California consumers can check the product name, code and packaging to determine whether they have one of the recalled items.
The :
- Fresco Pasta Four Cheese Ravioli — Packaged in 12-ounce clear hinged containers, product code FRESCOCHERav
- Cugini Vegetarian Lasagna — Packaged in black microwave-safe containers with lids, product code 6002.5
People with food allergies or sensitivities should check their freezers for the affected products.
What should I do if I bought recalled pasta?
According to FoodSafety.gov, consumers should not eat food that has been recalled.
FoodSafety.gov recommends following the manufacturer’s instructions when a food product is recalled. Depending on the recall, consumers may be told to return the product to the store for a refund or dispose of it safely.

As of Tuesday, Sept. 22, neither the nor Pasteria Italiana LLC had provided specific instructions on whether consumers should return or dispose of the recalled pasta.
