Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Roseville that left one person dead and sent three others to a hospital.

The crash happened about 3:50 p.m. near Douglas Boulevard and King Road, just east of Interstate 80, Roseville Police Department spokesperson Lt. Nick Gaines said. The deceased victim was a 78-year-old woman, Gaines said.
A 17-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl were among the three who were taken to hospitals. Both had major injuries, Gaines said, but are expected to recover. The third hospitalized victim was an adult, he said.

The Roseville Police Department in a social media post asked motorists to avoid the area, cautioning that Douglas Boulevard near King Road was “expected to be closed for an extended period of time” as the department’s motor team investigates the fatal crash.
