FRIDAY’S GAMES
San Jacinto (4-0) at Aquinas (1-3)
IE Varsity info: San Jacinto seeks the program’s first 5-0 start since 2018. Running back Elijah Robinson has topped the 100-yard mark three times while scoring five touchdowns. Jordan Bernard has caught 25 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Cornerback Devin Sandville made an immediate impact in his first game with the Tigers last week, intercepting two passes while catching a touchdown pass. Aquinas defeated Notre Dame 28-0 last week to score its first victory of the season. Quarterback Josiah Whipp tossed a touchdown pass and scored twice on the ground, while fellow freshman Dillon Huff rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. Linebacker Dannicco Louie is a standout on defense for the Falcons.

Long Beach Poly (1-4) at Rancho Cucamonga (2-3)
IE Varsity info: These perennial powers have struggled in recent weeks and are looking to cap their nonleague schedules with a win. Rancho Cucamonga hopes to snap a three-game skid Friday. Trey Towns Jr. has thrown for 760 yards and seven touchdowns, while Semaj Smith has 13 catches for 200 yards. Linebacker Beckam Amare leads the Cougars on defense with 32 tackles. Long Beach Poly has dropped four straight games. Ace Faagata has passed for 658 yards and three touchdowns, and Jayden Coley has 29 catches for 303 yards for the Jackrabbits.
Prediction: Rancho Cucamonga
San Clemente (4-0) at Murrieta Valley (2-2)
IE Varsity info: Murrieta Valley got back on track last week with a 41-13 win over Roosevelt. Quarterback Ty Isaia returned to action and tossed a touchdown pass and ran in another score. Kayden Borden has been the leading receiver for the Nighthawks. Linebacker Nash Bradlee Goade is averaging nine tackles per game. San Clemente is coming off a bye week. Preston Beck has thrown for 763 yards and four touchdowns, while Ryan Matheson has caught 29 passes for 354 yards and three scores. Jaxson Rex leads the Tritons on defense with 31 tackles and two interceptions.
Prediction: San Clemente
Servite (2-2) at Damien (3-2)
IE Varsity info: Damien snapped a two-game skid with a 38-21 win last week over Salesian and will wrap up nonleague play with its toughest test of the season. Anthony Randolph has thrown for 994 yards and eight touchdowns, and Benjamin Gutierrez has caught 19 balls for 301 yards and three scores. Owen Gilboy leads the Spartans on defense with 43 tackles. Servite is returning from a bye week. Jorden Wells leads the ground attack for the Friars with 508 yards and seven touchdowns. Keston Jiles has recorded 26 tackles for the defense.
Prediction: Servite
Santiago (4-0) at Elsinore (2-3)
IE Varsity info: Santiago is seeking the program’s first 5-0 on-the-field start to a season since 2002. The Sharks later forfeited two of those wins. Jake Wilson has thrown for 807 yards and nine touchdowns, and Isaiah Hughes has hauled in 17 passes for 296 yards and four scores. Max Eldridge leads the Sharks’ defense with 10 1/2 tackles for loss, seven sacks and three forced fumbles. Elsinore looks to bounce back from last week’s 21-20 loss to Norte Vista. Lataevious Hernandez leads the ground attack for the Tigers with 440 yards and six touchdowns, and Xavier Stankevich has eight touchdown runs. Jacob Petersen leads the defense with 53 tackles.

Prediction: Santiago
Big Bear (3-2) at Norte Vista (2-3)
IE Varsity info: Big Bear will make its River Valley League debut Friday night. The Bears had a three-game winning streak snapped last week with a 28-21 loss to Twentynine Palms. Ryder Prudhomme has thrown for 560 yards and eight touchdowns. Noah Fettherhoff leads the ground attack with 477 yards and four touchdowns and also has a team-high 38 tackles. Norte Vista rallied for a 21-20 win over Elsinore last week to snap a two-game slide. Sebastian Ruvalcaba ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns and also had 10 tackles on defense. Bo Salazar added 143 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown for the Toros.
Prediction: Norte Vista
Liberty (2-2) at Paloma Valley (3-1)
IE Varsity info: Liberty is coming off a 33-30 victory over Hemet last week. Julian Gallardo has passed for 490 yards and five touchdowns, and Christopher Debose and Gavin Ramirez have combined to rush for 552 yards and eight touchdowns. Damian Rowell has three interceptions for the Bison. Paloma Valley has won two straight, including a 24-6 victory over Silverado last week. Joshua Gonzales has passed for 684 yards and four touchdowns, and Sean Harrison leads the ground attack for the Wildcats with 344 yards and four scores. Jailil Blair Carter leads the defense with four interceptions.
Prediction: Paloma Valley
Jurupa Hills (3-2) at Colton (5-0)
IE Varsity info: Jurupa Hills has won two straight games, including last week’s 37-13 victory over Diamond Ranch. Aryn Clark has rushed for 339 yards and two touchdowns, and Xavier Curry has added 265 yards and six touchdowns on the ground for the Spartans. Isaiah Rodriguez leads the defense with 26 tackles. Colton is seeking the program’s first 6-0 start since the 2003 campaign. Koa Regalado has thrown for 1,222 yards and 16 touchdowns and added 347 yards and six scores on the ground. Isaiah Garcia has rushed for 368 yards and scored eight times for the Yellowjackets. Michael Perez leads the defense with 35 tackles and 7 1/2 sacks.
Prediction: Colton
SATURDAY’S GAME
Centennial (2-2) vs. De La Salle (4-0) at California Memorial Stadium, 2 p.m.
IE Varsity info: These powerhouses have squared off five times in the past, but this marks the first time they meet in the regular season. De La Salle is 4-1 in those previous games, with Centennial’s lone win coming in the 2008 CIF State Division I championship game. Centennial’s Jaden Jefferson has thrown for 852 yards and five touchdowns and added 277 yards and three scores on the ground. Quentin Hale has caught 22 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns for the Huskies. Andre Pommells has intercepted two passes. De La Salle is coming off a 55-9 win over Stockton St. Mary’s. Jaxon Loftin has thrown for 574 yards and eight touchdowns, while Duece Jones-Drew has rushed for 315 yards and three scores. The Spartans are led on defense by lineman Bradley Facteau (3 1/2 sacks).
