The Big 12 has plenty of good teams and big storylines, and it’s easy for some teams to fall through the cracks. Win a few games over the next few weeks, though, and everything starts to change.
TCU (2-1) fell off the radar after losing to North Carolina in the opener in Ireland, but it bounced back fast with wins over Grambling State and Arkansas State by a combined score of 94-14.
UCF (2-1) lost a tough battle at Pitt, but it had no problem getting the offense going in the two layup games, and now it has a shot to show that things really have changed under Scott Frost.

Why TCU Will Win
Now that’s the Jaden Craig TCU was hoping for. The Harvard transfer quarterback wasn’t great in the opener against North Carolina, but over the last two games he connected on 45-of-60 passes for well over 700 yards and seven touchdowns.
He’s been accurate, explosive, and he’ll show up looking to stretch the field against a UCF pass defense that’s been tested but will be pushed.
Why UCF Will Win
The Knights got the running game going after being stuffed by Pitt. It ripped up Bethune-Cookman and rolled on Georgia State, and it has to keep handing the ball off from the start against the Horned Frog front.
The pass rush has to bother Craig all game long. Don’t let the downfield passing plays develop, and that’s what North Carolina was able to do. However …

TCU vs UCF Prediction, Betting Lines
Pitt was able to stop the Knights because it set up camp in their offensive backfield. They never let the UCF playmakers get working, and that’s what TCU will do.
The Horned Frog defensive pressure, combined with a measured day from the offense that controls the clock, will be enough to pull off a workmanlike win.
