Coffee giant Starbucks announced Thursday the company will be closing 250 stores across the United States. Several local Starbucks stores have been slated for closure, with some shutting their doors as soon as Saturday, Sept. 26.

A nationwide list of which stores are closing is still being updated, and it includes 6 Starbucks stores in the Sacramento area:

• 1901 J. St., Sacramento, CA 95811
• 2648 Watt Ave., Sacramento, CA 95821
• 3511 Truxel Rd., Sacramento, CA 95834
• 8240 Calvine Rd., Sacramento, CA 95828
• 8341 Elk Grove Florin Rd., Sacramento, CA 95829
The Sacramento Bee called the local Starbucks listed. All stores contacted confirmed that they will be closing, except the Calvine Rd. location, which referred The Bee to a corporate number in lieu of comment. Several locations, including Truxel and Elk Grove Florin, will be closing as soon as tomorrow.

According to Starbucks, the stores closing are either underperforming or cannot “consistently deliver the experience we want for customers and partners,” wrote Mike Grams, chief operating officer at Starbucks in a letter on Thursday. He also noted that the closures impact around 1% of the company’s 18,000 stores in North America.
