But to make the electoral process easier, The Sacramento Bee is partnering with Enlightenment Salon to help you understand what’s on your ballot for the 2026 midterms.
The 90-minute event, “Understanding Your Ballot,” is set to begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, in our East Sacramento newsroom, 1601 Alhambra Blvd., Suite 210. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Our talented Capitol Bureau reporters will be on hand to answer your questions and explain the 14 propositions on the California ballot. They’ll also discuss what they know about the hot races affecting our region.

Additionally, reporters from our Local Accountability Team will talk about the down-ballot, local races happening in your communities.
