Benjamin Satterley, better known as PAC in AEW and Neville during his WWE run, has died at the age of 40. The former champion’s death came shortly after he competed at AEW All Out in Chicago, leaving fans searching for answers about what happened to him.

Satterley’s passing was announced by All Elite Wrestling on Sunday night, roughly a day after his final wrestling appearance. He had competed in the opening match of All Out, challenging Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Championship, before also appearing later in the pay-per-view’s main event segment.
Despite the timing of his death, PAC’s cause of death has not been disclosed. AEW did not provide a cause, medical details, the circumstances surrounding his passing, or a location in its announcement, and no authoritative report had identified a cause as of publication.
AEW announced Satterley’s death through a post on X, writing:

A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”

PAC’s Final Match Came Just One Day Before His Death
PAC’s final match took place at All Out on September 26, where he challenged Andrade for the AEW National Championship. The match opened the main card, with Andrade retaining after turning PAC’s Brutalizer submission attempt into a pinning combination.

PAC was also involved later in the show during the AEW World Championship main event between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley. His appearance came as part of the ongoing Death Riders story, meaning his final night with the Tony Khan-led promotion extended beyond his own championship match.
Satterley began his professional wrestling career in 2004 and established himself internationally before joining WWE in 2012. As Neville, he became an NXT Champion, a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion and a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion. He left WWE in 2018 and joined AEW the following year, returning to the PAC name.
In AEW, PAC became the inaugural All-Atlantic Champion, with the title later renamed the International Championship, and won the World Trios Championship twice. His work with Penta and Rey Fénix as part of Death Triangle became one of the defining parts of his AEW career.
For now, the circumstances surrounding Satterley’s death remain unknown. Until his family, AEW, or another authoritative source provides additional information, any claim about what caused his death would be speculation.
