Knabel wasn’t found until about two hours later after a civilian spotted him walking on the William H. Natcher bridge toward Indiana. When officers arrived at the bridge, Knabel climbed over the side and hid underneath the bridge on a beam, according to court documents.
The bridge is a large, cable-stayed bridge that connects Owensboro to Indiana over the Ohio River.
Officers shut down US-231 near the bridge until Knabel climbed back on top of the bridge and was taken into custody. Court documents say a blood test was taken and results are pending.

He is scheduled to appear in Daviess District Court Monday for an arraignment.
Knabel is also facing two separate counts of theft from January and March, according to court records.
Knabel is being held at the Daviess County Detention Center.
