Police said investigators believe Yepez may have left the area following the shooting, and he may have ties to the Modesto area and Mexico.
The Police Department was asking the public to help investigators find Yepez, and police said no determination of criminal responsibility should be inferred.

The fight and shooting were reported shortly before 11 p.m. July 26 outside the 7-Eleven store in the 900 block of Market Street. Police said officers arrived at the shooting scene and found Cortez dead. Mendoza, who was critically wounded, was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police said a third man, 19, walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand.
Investigators asked anyone with information regarding Yepez’s whereabouts or information about the July 26 double homicide to call police detectives at 530-822-2082.
