About 189 pounds — or 1,428 snack bags — of potato chips, banana chips and fried pork rinds got recalled by a West Miami-Dade company because the pork crossed borders it shouldn’t have.

Inexport Logistics recalled bags of Yupi Golpe Con Todo Sabor BBQ mix of clásicas, platanos and chicharrón fred, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service said, “because they were produced in the Republic of Colombia, a country that is not eligible to export meat products to the United States.”

These went to stores and distributors in Florida, Texas, Kentucky, California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois and Minnesota.
“The problem was discovered during an FSIS recall effectiveness check where the ineligible product was observed in a retail location,” the USDA recall notice said.

Stores should contact their distributors about what to do with the recalled bags of snacks.
