A man died after being struck by a box truck along Air Expressway in Adelanto early Sunday.

The collision took place shortly after midnight Oct. 4 on the roadway near Adelanto Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“Upon arrival, deputies immediately rendered aid to an adult male lying on the roadway until fire personnel arrived,” agency spokeswoman Jenny Smith said.
The victim died at the scene.
“The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation,” Smith added.
No further details were available as the investigation remained in its early stages.
