Ruby Celly Uribe, 37, was sentenced Friday in Sacramento federal court to a two-year, five-month sentence for the crimes before U.S. District Judge Dena Coggins, prosecutors said in a statement. Uribe was based at the Mather National Guard facility near Rancho Cordova and served as a member of the state Counterdrug Task Force, a unit that assists local, tribal and federal law enforcement entities in combating drug traffickers.

Uribe, found guilty in May by a Sacramento federal jury, leaked sensitive information about upcoming drug raids to a person involved with drug dealing, said Department of Justice officials in the Friday statement.

“Text messages recovered from Uribe’s and the drug dealer’s phones revealed she shared sensitive information about upcoming operations, including the date and location and the number of military vehicles and aircraft involved,” Department of Justice officials said.

Agents carrying a federal search warrant recovered an illegal, privately-made, short-barreled rifle modified to fire as a fully automatic machine gun — a “ghost gun,” with no serial number.

A search of Uribe’s cellular phone also revealed the former Guard member engaged in trafficking other short-barrelled machine guns without serial numbers, including to a coworker in 2022.

Agents also learned Uribe had sold another rifle modified to operate as a machine gun in August 2022. FBI agents recovered that weapon, Department of Justice officials said.
