Tyreek Hill Nears a Return From Knee Injury, Per Drew Rosenhaus, as Rams Lose Davante Adams

Tyreek Hill is getting closer to a return. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams have a very good reason to call his people.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN last week that the eight-time Pro Bowl receiver is “continuing his rehab with the goal of being on a team in the immediate future,” per Adam Schefter.

On Monday, the Rams lost Davante Adams for six to 10 weeks.

Head coach Sean McVay said Adams ruptured his hamstring in Sunday’s 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Rosenhaus said “nothing is imminent,” but he’s talking with multiple teams, and Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay named the Rams the best fit.

What the Rams lose with Davante Adams

Adams had 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns through six games, which led the team.

Without him, the Rams’ next man up at receiver is Konata Mumpfield, who played 27 snaps against Arizona and posted a 68.6 grade, according to PFF.

Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington are capable depth players, but neither has shown he can draw the coverage Adams did, and defenses can now shift more attention to stopping Nacua.

The timing is rough for a 2-4 team that needs to find a path back in a hurry. McVay also lost defensive tackle Kobie Turner to injured reserve, and the team just signed its third kicker in three weeks.

How close is Tyreek Hill?

Hill hasn’t played since tearing multiple knee ligaments early last season, when he had 21 catches for 265 yards in four games with the Miami Dolphins. Before that, he was one of the most dangerous players in football, finishing 2023 with 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. His production dipped to 959 yards in 2024.

At 32 and coming off a major knee injury, Hill is a gamble. But the Rams have already been named a fit for receiver help on the trade market, and signing Hill wouldn’t cost a draft pick.

If he’s healthy enough to give Matthew Stafford a vertical threat opposite Nacua, he’s worth the call.
