Now, as they transition to Week 8, the hope from the fan base is that some of the injured players will be making their return soon. On Monday, head coach Sean McVay spoke to reporters about the statuses of star defender Myles Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson. Both are eligible to come off injured reserve, but McVay told reporters that the team has yet to make a decision on opening their practice windows.
The reason behind the lack of a decision is that McVay hadn’t spoken to Director of Sports Medicine Reggie Scott before his presser. According to the OC Register’s Adam Grosbard, McVay and the Rams could still open their practice windows.
If and when the Rams open their practice windows, they’ll have three weeks to decide if they’ll activate them off injured reserve or keep them on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
