Juice store to close at midtown Sacramento Ice Blocks shopping district

Pressed Juicery on R Street, known for its cold-pressed juices, acai bowls and protein bowls, is closing this summer, according to the real estate firm the business leases from.

Heller Pacific Inc. confirmed with The Sacramento Bee that the business has a lease that is expiring and juice store chose not to renew.

“As much as we are sad to see Pressed Juice go, we are more excited about what comes next,” Mike Heller, the developer and managing partner for Ice Blocks, wrote in a statement. “Sometimes change is really good for a dynamic project like the Ice Blocks.”

Pressed Juicery did not respond to a request for comment. It is unclear when the 1710 R St. location will close, but the business’s lease is set to expire in July, according to Heller Pacific.

Pressed Juicery has more than 100 stores nationwide. The juice chain is famous for vitamin-filled and clean juice blends. The chain originally started in Los Angeles, according to its website.

The dairy-free juice bar first opened in the Ice Blocks in 2017, according to its social media. There is a Pressed Juicery in in the DoCo shopping center, 414 K St. and another location at Fountains at Roseville. Both stores are open daily.

Located in midtown, the Ice Blocks shopping district is part of a mixed-use redevelopment initiative on R Street. The project, which launched in 2017, includes a variety of restaurants, stores, apartments, and offices.

Pressed Juicery will operate from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Ice Blocks shopping district until its closure, according to its Yelp page.
