It’s been five years since Conor McGregor has stepped foot inside the octagon, but his long-awaited return is just around the corner. The former two-division titleholder headlines UFC 329 on July 11 in a rematch against former featherweight champion and BMF titleholder Max Holloway.

McGregor showed he’s still the biggest draw in the sport when tickets for the event sold-out almost instantly. It’s expected to set the record for the highest gate in the promotion’s history surpassing UFC 306 at The Sphere which generated just short of $22 million.
UFC 329 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during the promotion’s annual International Fight Week. With McGregor attached to the fight card all the events surrounding International Fight Week have seen increases sales.
“Listen, Conor, you guys know as well as I do. I mean, he’s f**king, he’s a powerhouse, man. I mean, when he’s involved, I mean, tickets, as soon at they went on sale, you know, went flying,” UFC CEO Dana White said during a scrum interview on Tuesday.

“We put Power Slap on sale. Power Slap sold out in an hour, so we added 250 or 200 more tickets. Sold out in 15 minutes. I’m sure everything that’s going on in Vegas International Fight Week is selling out. So, it’s great to have Conor back.”
“This should break the (gate) record,” said White. “‘The record is The Sphere right now and this should break The Sphere record.”
