Two people were arrested Wednesday night in connection with an alleged carjacking in East Linda, the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday.

Yuba County deputies were dispatched to the reported carjacking in the 1700 block of Hile Avenue in East Linda at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, deputies determined a vehicle had been taken by force, according to a Yuba County Sheriff’s Department statement.
The stolen vehicle was later located nearby but was unoccupied.
Investigators identified another vehicle leaving the East Linda area that they believed was carrying the suspects. Deputies located the vehicle in Marysville and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled, leading authorities on a pursuit that ended near the east end of the 10th Street Bridge.

A 31-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested, according to the sheriff’s department.
