Former NFL star and ESPN personality Marcellus Wiley was arrested in Florida on Saturday, July 4.

Wiley, who starred in the NFL for a decade, making the Pro Bowl in 2001, went on to have a big-time career in sports media, working for ESPN, among other outlets.
But on Saturday, July 4, he was reportedly arrested, on troubling charges in Orange County, Florida.
“According to jail records obtained by TMZ Sports, Wiley was booked into the Orange County Jail on July 4 on a charge of domestic battery,” TMZ Sports reported.
“The 51-year-old remained listed in the jail system following the arrest. According to custody records, he is being held without bond. Details surrounding the alleged incident that led to the charge and who was involved were not immediately available.
“This is not the first time Wiley has made headlines this year — in April he was accused of sexual assault by four accusers.”

Wiley has not spoken out against his arrest. However, he has strongly denied accusations of assault by other women.
“They are attempting to leverage lies for personal gain, as they say, assassination by accusation, that’s their goal. They trying by lying.”

Wiley’s mugshot was released by police in Orange County, Florida on Sunday morning, July 5, as he faces charges.
Wiley has not yet publicly commented on his latest arrest and it’s unclear at this time what specifically led to his arrest in Florida on the Fourth of July.
