Now, it’s back for another day of rocking out. Friday marks Day 2 of four of the 2026 Aftershock music festival, held at Sacramento’s Discovery Park.
After a toasty Thursday, afternoon highs are again expected to reach the 90s on Friday.
Besides listening to the best in rock and metal, festival-goers have a plethora of things to do, see and eat as the festival continues through Sunday. Travelers in the Discovery Park area should also be advised of road and bike trail closures, as well as related detours.
Here’s what the fans who are rollin’ out to the festival can expect to see.
Who is playing Day 2 of Aftershock 2026?
Friday’s lineup is full of hip-hop and rap nostalgia. Cypress Hill, Public Enemy and Wu-Tang Clan will hit the main Aftershock Stage throughout the afternoon, while $uicideboy$ and Three 6 Mafia take over the Shockwave Stage.
A handful of bands who have roots in Northern California are returning Friday to play near home. Spite, originally formed in the Bay Area, plays the Epicenter Stage at 4:15 p.m., while Nekrogoblikon, from Santa Barbara, goes on the Faultline Stage at 3:20 p.m.

Special guest band Traverse the Abyss, which earned its spot through a fan-voted contest, will play the Faultline Stage at 12:20 p.m.
Starting at 9:45 p.m., nu-metalheads will throw their hands up (and down) for the second headliner of the festival, Limp Bizkit, at the Aftershock stage.
