My love affair with the Jordan 12 isn’t new, it’s true. The PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’ (AA1233-700) is a rare collaboration that released almost 10 years ago and still has my heart. Tinker Hatfield’s oversized creation got the wheat Timbs treatment through PSNY and Jordan Brand. Pairs are scarce but available. The price? It ain’t nice.

Where Can You Buy the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’?
The ‘Wheat’ was PSNY’s New York entry in its three-city 2017 Air Jordan 12 pack, released alongside Olive and Bordeaux pairs for $300.
As of August 2026, StockX listings run from $350 to $1,037, with my size 14 at $999. GOAT’s new pairs range from $394 to $633. Flight Club shows sizes 8 and 11.5 at $531 and $635. Prices move, but cheap isn’t part of this conversation.
What Makes the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’ Stand Out?
Monochrome sneakers can flatten out quickly. This one doesn’t. Wheat nubuck lets the AJ12’s stitched construction, mudguard and sculpted panels create depth without another color — I break this down more on Instagram. PSNY branding on the tongue and a gum-toned sole complete the look.
Underfoot, full-length Zoom Air has kept the Jordan 12 in my rotation since its 1996 debut, which I get into more on TikTok. Wheat, premium materials and comfort still hit.
Why Does the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’ Matter?
Collaborations are constant now. In 2017, they existed, but not with today’s nonstop cadence. According to GQ’s original 2017 coverage, PSNY connected its three tonal Jordan 12 releases to New York, Paris and Milan. Scarcity did the rest.
The AJ12 has momentum. ‘French Blue’ and ‘Taxi’ returned in 2025; ‘Bloodline’ landed in summer 2026, while ‘Bucks’ is expected this fall and ‘Obsidian’ in 2027. That run arrives as the Jordan 12 celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, three decades after Tinker Hatfield’s design debuted in 1996.
Should You Buy the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’?
If you love Jordan 12s, premium materials and real scarcity, yes—at the right price. Jordan 12s generally fit true to size, and properly stored 2017 pairs may have held up well.
Still, I’m not paying $999 for my size 14. I love this shoe, but it’s not that serious — more hot takes like this over on X. I’ll keep praying Jordan Brand gives the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 ‘Wheat’ another run. Until then, this grail can stay admired from a financially responsible distance.
