Brazil and Australia face off today at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, Australia, in an international friendly.

The match is the first of a two-game Queensland Football Series between the sides with the second meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, in Brisbane.
It will be the first match for both teams since their respective 2026 World Cup campaigns where Australia were eliminated in the Round of 32, while Brazil exited the tournament in the Round of 16.
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is overseeing a major rebuild following the World Cup and has made 16 changes to his previous squad.
Meanwhile, Australia head coach Tony Popovic has also opted for youth, naming seven debutants in his 26-man squad.
Historically, Brazil have dominated this matchup, including a 4-0 victory in their last meeting in 2017 and thus are favorites headed into this fixture although Australia can prove to be a tough home side.
