The first Saktoberfest promises to be Sacramento’s biggest outdoor Oktoberfest celebration.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct 10, at Cal Expo at 1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento.

Live music ranging from traditional Oktoberfest bands to “high-energy” DJs will be featured, along with a variety of regional beers and traditional German brews. Food will include pretzels, sausages and schnitzel, along with food trucks.

Family-friendly games and activities also will be featured.
Tickets are available for $10 each.
