Two Powerball tickets sold in California fell just one number short of winning the $298 million jackpot, lottery officials said.

Instead, the lucky tickets won $36,051 each.
The tickets matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, Sept. 19, the California State Lottery said.

Where were winning Powerball tickets sold in California?
The lucky tickets were sold at Food 4 Less at 614 N. Azusa Ave. in West Covina, and Bob’s Liquor Market at 7671 Knott Ave. in Buena Park, lottery officials said.
What were winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing?
The winning numbers were 18, 30, 41, 45 and 68 with a Powerball of 10.
The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
A player in New York won $1 million.
What is the Powerball jackpot up to now?
Nobody won the jackpot, which now rises to an estimated $313 million, with a cash value of about $133.6 million, for the next drawing Monday, Sept. 21, the national Powerball site said.
Nearly 675,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. There were more than 80,000 winners in California.
The Powerball jackpot was last won Aug. 12, when a player in Illinois hit the $1.04 billion jackpot.

To score a jackpot in Powerball, a player mustmatch all five white balls and the red Powerball.
The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 292,201,338.
Tickets can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times and price vary by state.

Powerball drawings are broadcast Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time and can be streamed online.
The next drawing will be Monday, Sept. 21.
