Canada welcome Chile to BMO Field in Toronto today as the CanMNT starts its post-2026 World Cup cycle on home soil. The international friendly kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 26.

The match is Canada’s first game in Toronto since the team opened its World Cup campaign at the same venue earlier this summer. Canada made history at the tournament by winning its first World Cup match and reaching the knockout stage before losing 3-0 to Morocco in the Round of 16.
Chile did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup and are entering a rebuilding period under interim head coach Nicolás Córdova. La Roja have brought a youthful squad to North America for this September-October international window.
The two nations have met only once in the modern record: a 0-0 draw at the 2024 Copa América in Orlando.
