Tyquan Thornton, a veteran wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, went down with a graphic injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. The Chiefs were trailing the Raiders, 19-17, at the time of the injury.

The veteran wide receiver caught a long pass on third down from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Unfortunately, though, as Thornton was being tackled to the ground, he suffered a major, graphic injury.
CBS’s announcers Jim Nantz and J.J. Watt were immediately horrified.
“Oh, no,” they said as they saw a replay in the booth.
CBS, though, refused to show the full replay of the injury to the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver. That’s how bad it looked.

ESPN’s Mina Kimes warned: “DO NOT LOOK AT THAT ANKLE.”
Video of the terrible injury has quickly gone viral on social media.
It’s a devastating blow to the Chiefs, as the veteran wide receiver was having the game of the season.
Thornton had 5 catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns prior to the injury. Our thoughts are with him on Sunday.
