Charley Hull isn’t just one of the best golfers in the world, she’s also quite the comedian – or at least she thinks she is.

Leading up to this week’s AIG Women’s Open, the 30-year-old golfer from Northamptonshire revealed that she pranked her caddie, Adam Woodward. She bought him a fake lottery ticket and convinced him that he won $100,000.
Unfortunately for Woodward, his dreams were crushed by Hull just moments later.
“He’s taken his hat off. He’s taken his glasses off. He’s literally running around the players lounge sayin’, ‘I’ve won $100,000. I’m taking today off.’ His face looks so happy,” Hull told reporters. “He was sweating. He was trembling. He couldn’t believe his luck, and we had to tell him it was fake and he nearly quit the job
Most golf fans found this to be an incredibly cruel prank from Hull. In fact, some of them were so turned off by this story that they’re hoping her caddie leaves her.
“Wealthier people doing jokes like this to people “below” them is actually just sociopath behavior,” one fan said.
“Don’t ever joke about money with people who have less than you let alone pull a prank on winning life changing money,” a second fan replied. “What a cruel act.”

“He should put an extra club in the bag and tell her about it on the 13th hole on Thursday – then quit,” another fan wrote. “Legend status for life.”
High hopes for Charley Hull.
Earlier this season, Hull was one stroke away from tying Nelly Korda at the top of the U.S. Women’s Open leaderboard. She has recorded a second place finish in five major tournaments over the course of her career.
“It’s just frustrating. Another second place. I think that’s five second-place finishes I’ve had in majors now,” Hull said. “It’s pretty annoying, but I played really well the last day. Obviously missed a couple putts on the back nine, but it was quite windy, and I hit the ball fantastic, so fair play to Nelly Korda for back-to-back wins.
We’ll see if Hull finally snaps her championship drought at the AIG Women’s Open.
