But there were some rough performances, too.
Which college football teams are the biggest “losers” in the country following the fifth week of the season?
Barstool Sports college football analyst Brandon Walker believes that the following five teams are the biggest losers:
- Florida – “Definitely not 2019 LSU.”
- Mississippi State – “Honestly I’d like to beat Bama again one day.”
- Michigan – “Gotta change quarterbacks.”
- Louisville – “What the hell happened to them.”
- Penn State – “Oh yeah they’re just Iowa State.”
College football fans seem to agree
“Michigan needing a new quarterback is rough news for the team that outgained them 289 to 263 and still lost 17-10. Asking for a friend in Norman,” one fan wrote.

“No, don’t take Iowa state down with this ship… Iowa state plays with pride, to earn a paycheck and beat Iowa last year…this group plays like a spoiled group that has already got it & is playing the Penn State way… This is Penn St.. they don’t fight like Iowa State!” one fan added.
“This is why you’re a better college football media personality than Pate. Still not the best in the country though,” one fan added.
“Reminder: the only reason Old Miss is in the top 25 is because they beat a bad Louisville team and a Mediocre LSU team and then got destroyed by a flawed Gators team. AP rankings are just to get stupid people to make bad bets,” one fan added.
