However, Archer announced on social media that he has been recovering from a health issue. He will not be able to make the start of training camp in Oxnard, California. Archer is hoping that he’ll be good to go in time for the start of practices, etc. in August.

Archer announced the news on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Some personal news: I was supposed to travel to Oxnard today, but instead I will open Cowboys training camp on the non-football injury list. Had some health issues recently and need to improve. But the plan is to be there Aug. 1, jumping right into the 2026 season,” he shared.
