The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development provided an update that included expected lane closures for Hwy. 30 at Interstate 10 in Gonzales while crews continue construction on the three new roundabouts.

The ongoing project includes the roundabouts along Hwy. 30 at the intersections of Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound, along with St. Landry Avenue.
According to the news release, the left lane from Hwy. 30 westbound onto Interstate 10 eastbound will be closed from Oct. 2 until Nov. 13.
Motorists traveling Hwy. 30 westbound needing to access the interstate eastbound on ramp are advised to bypass the intersection to the Hwy. 30 at Robert Wilson/St. Landry roundabout to make a U-turn, then take Hwy. 30 eastbound to the interstate eastbound on ramp, per the release.
The left turn lane from Hwy. 30 eastbound onto the interstate westbound will be closed from Oct. 12 until Nov. 13.

The existing Hwy. 30 eastbound through lane will be converted into a temporary left turn lane during the phase for motorists to access interstate 10 westbound from Hwy. 30 eastbound. The existing right through lane will be unaffected.
DOTD also advised drivers should expect delays while traveling through the work zone.
