EA FC 27 officially launches on September 25, but players won’t necessarily have to wait that long to hit the pitch. Those who purchase the Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Plus Edition can jump in up to seven days early, while EA Play Pro members on PC will also receive early access through the EA Play Pro Edition.
With different release dates and start times depending on the platform, here is exactly when you can expect to start playing EA FC 27.
EA FC 27 Early Access Date and Start Time
EA lists September 18 as the early access date for EA FC 27.
However, the company’s terms provide a more specific start time for the Ultimate Edition, stating that its seven-day early access period begins September 17 at 11 p.m. UTC on PC and September 18 at 12 a.m. local time on all other platforms.
Here’s the current breakdown:
- Ultimate Edition — PC: September 17 at 11 p.m. UTC (7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT)
- Ultimate Edition — PlayStation and Xbox: September 18 at 12 a.m. local time
- EA Play Trial: September 18 with 10 hours of access
- EA Play Pro Edition — PC: Includes up to seven days of early access, although the exact start time remains unclear
EA’s terms also state that the Ultimate Edition’s International ICON footballer item and other Ultimate Edition content become available beginning September 18 unless otherwise stated.
That doesn’t change the earlier PC game unlock: the same terms specifically say the product becomes available for download when early access begins at 11 p.m. UTC on September 17.
What About EA Play Pro on September 17?
EA Play Pro is where things get less clear.
Some players online have reported seeing the EA Play Pro Edition listed in the EA app for September 17, including a listing that reads “Play first on Sep 17, 2026, 3:00 PM.” However, the post does not display a timezone, and other listings show September 18.

EA’s own terms confirm that the EA Play Pro Edition includes up to seven days of early access, but its Pro-specific language does not provide the same exact September 17 at 11 p.m. UTC start time given for the Ultimate Edition.
The terms instead state that EA Play Pro Edition content will be available from September 18 unless otherwise stated.
When Does EA FC 27 Fully Release?
Players purchasing the Standard Edition will have to wait another week, with EA FC 27 officially releasing on September 25.
That means Ultimate Edition, Ultimate Plus Edition and eligible EA Play Pro players will be able to get onto the pitch ahead of the worldwide launch.
With early access only a week away, players can also preload the game when it becomes available on their respective platform so they are ready when access opens.
