Elk Grove’s first Whole Foods will be opening soon, according to a press release from the company on Aug. 18.

The 43,000-square-foot grocery is scheduled to open on Sept. 16 at The Village shopping center, at 8100 Elk Grove Blvd.
The store is the community’s first Whole Foods, and according to the company, it is the fourth Whole Foods in the Sacramento area and the 94th in California.

While regular hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, doors will open at 9 a.m. on Sept. 16. The first 300 customers at the Elk Grove store will receive coffee from local Pachamama Coffee, a special Elk Grove-themed Whole Foods tote bag, and a Secret Saver coupon.
The store is also currently hiring staff in advance of the opening.
Several businesses in The Village have opened since development of the site began in 2024, including Philz Coffee, Chik-fil-A, and Yard House. Other businesses are still under construction, including a Barnes & Noble.
