FanDuel issued an apology to NFL fans for issues that took place during the first full Sunday of the 2026 regular season.

FanDuel’s daily fantasy players experienced major issues on Sunday morning, September 13. The daily fantasy platform suffered a major platform outage in the hours leading up to Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season. Many users were unable to edit lineups, view player lists, or access contests right before the first NFL Sunday kickoff.
Obviously, that’s an issue at any point of the season, but it’s particularly frustrating in Week 1, when there’s a ton of excitement and optimism surrounding the upcoming year.
FanDuel has issued a public apology.
FanDuel took to social media on Monday, September 14 to issue a public apology to NFL fans.
“To our DFS customers – we acknowledge that yesterday’s site issue was unacceptable. NFL Week 1 is supposed to be a joyous time, and we fumbled. The team investigated the issue and has now refunded the net losses to our impacted customers. We remain committed to offering you a better DFS experience and have plenty of fun in store for Week 2 and beyond,” the betting platform announced.

Week 2 of the NFL season needs to be better
Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season will wrap up on Monday evening, with the Chiefs taking on the Broncos. Kickoff for the Monday Night Football game is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. E.T.
Week 2 is right around the corner, too.
Hopefully, there will be no betting platform or daily fantasy issues during the second full weekend of the 2026 regular season.
There’s a lot of excitement surrounding the year and NFL fans want to be engaging in every form of entertainment that they can throughout the season.
