New Orleans enters Sunday’s contest looking to grab a key road victory to begin the season as the Saints try to compete for the NFC South title and bounce back after last season’s struggles.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday afternoon’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Saints Injury Report: Will Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan Play?

The Saints have four players listed on their injury report, including running back Alvin Kamara and defensive end Cameron Jordan.

New Orleans has listed Kamara as questionable due to a right MCL sprain that he suffered during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 18 and he is in danger of missing the Saints’ season opener.

If Kamara is sidelined, Kendre Miller could be in line for an increased role behind Travis Etienne.

The Saints have ruled out Jordan due to a hamstring injury as he will miss Sunday’s matchup.

Tight end Oscar Delpit has also been ruled out due to a hamstring injury while running back Audric Estime is out with a thigh injury.

Lions Injury Report: Will Sam LaPorta Play?

The Lions have only one player listed on their injury report as they have listed defensive back Christian Izien as questionable.

Detroit has listed Izien as questionable due to a groin injury and he is in danger of missing the Lions’ season opener.

The good news for the Lions is that tight end Sam LaPorta is off the injury report and will play after missing most of the preseason with a hip injury.
