According to Us Weekly, West reported reaching 100 days of sobriety in March 2026. A more recent, unverified social media report claimed he had reached 10 months of sobriety while continuing his recovery in Florida.
Meanwhile, Beasley, 37, was the second overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and has previous combat sports experience. He lost to former NBA player Lance Stephenson by first-round submission at Brand Risk 14.
Beasley’s MMA experience could help him adjust to the competitive atmosphere, while West’s boxing appearance marks another opportunity to compete publicly amid his recovery journey.
