Francis Ngannou and Dana White have reignited their years-long feud.
‘The Predator’ hasn’t enjoyed the best of a kinship with the UFC, and that has only worsened since leaving the promotion. White has been vocal in his dislike of Ngannou, likening his relationship with the MMA star to that of Oscar De La Hoya- incredibly bad. While it seemed all sides had moved on and forgotten about it since their split in 2022, they hadn’t. In fact, it’s worse. White and Ngannou traded barbs on social media recently, indicating that their relationship is much more corrupt than first thought.

Speaking about his former employee, Dana White revealed his true feelings, even announcing that he wished Francis Ngannou had lost when he fought Ciryl Gane, saying:
“The guy I wanted to lose? It would have to be Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. Damn right I wanted Ngannou to lose.”
White’s recent publicized hatred for Ngannou has come as a surprise to many, but it didn’t take long for the Cameroonian native to respond. Adding fuel to the fire, Ngannou poked the bear with a smug reply.
“The night that hurt the most, over four years ago, and it’s still fresh,” Ngannou wrote on X.

On that night, Francis Ngannou held UFC heavyweight gold. He entered the octagon on the final fight of his contract and publicly announced his desire for either a bigger paycheck or freedom to leave.
The win made Ngannou hot property, and an offer was made to the powerhouse. Unfortunately, Ngannou had his heart set on a venture into boxing, thus refusing to re-sign with the UFC and becoming the biggest name in modern history to turn down the sport’s top promotion in search of something greater.
