“It’s possible that when the 9ers and Rams play in Australia, it’s within the realm of options that Puka doesn’t play in that game,” Schefter said. “Its also possible … the Green Bay Packers are going to lose Josh Jacobs, that also still is under review and still a pending situation with the NFL.”
With the pending situation surrounding Nacua and Jacobs, the Rams wide receiver’s and Packers running back’s Fantasy stock take a hit, while raising the Fantasy production of their teammates in their potential absence.

Puka Nacua
Nacua (WR 2, 4 ADP) is the emphasis on the Rams passing attack and his Fantasy numbers back it up.
The 2025 All-Pro finished as WR 1 in all formats, despite missing a game.
If the suspension is only a game as Schefter hinted, Nacua’s Fantasy stock doesn’t tumble much, but if it becomes a multi-game suspension Nacua’s Fantasy outlook looks murkier.
If Nacua’s potential suspension is multiple games or if a Fantasy manager has a draft prior to Nacua’s matter being resolved, a pivot to other top-tier Fantasy options is the move to make.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR 3, 5 ADP) is another upper-echelon Fantasy wide receiver, who finished second behind Nacua in all formats last season.
For Fantasy managers with the third overall pick, Smith-Njigba is a top-tier pivot if Nacua’s situation remains unsolved or if Nacua is suspended multiple games.
If Nacua does miss time, Davante Adams (WR 25, 51 ADP) receives a bump as he’ll slot in as Rams WR 1 in Nacua’s absence.
In the lone game Nacua missed last season, Adams posted a 26.5 Fantasy points performance in week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

For Fantasy managers, who already selected Nacua, rookie CJ Daniels and Jordan Whittington are waiver wire additions to fill in for Nacua if he is suspended for extended time.

As Jacobs’ (RB 17, 37 ADP) status remains uncertain Fantasy managers can pivot to other running backs with a clear status to kickoff the season.
Cam Skattebo (RB 19, 46 ADP) is the clear focus of the New York Giants running attack and looks to be clear to play in week 1. TreVeyon Henderson (RB 20, 50 ADP) is explosive any time he touches the ball and should see more touches in his sophomore campaign.
If Jacobs is suspended an extended amount of time, this opens the door for Packers backup running backs MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks, who are going in the very last round of Fantasy drafts or going undrafted.
For zero-running-back enthusiasts, Lloyd and Brooks offer potential starter value if Jacobs is suspended for multiple games
The preseason will reveal whether Lloyd or Brooks will take over as RB 2 for the Packers, but both will see playing time if Jacobs is potentially suspended, making the duo useful as stop gaps at RB 2 or flex depending on a Fantasy managers’ roster.
In lieu of a potential Jacobs suspension, the duo can help zero-running-back subscribers navigate through the season until a starting running back is available on the waiver wire.
