A report of illegal trash dumping along Highway 50 near Lake Tahoe led California Highway Patrol officers to arrest two people, including a man on felony probation, authorities said.

The incident occurred Friday on Highway 50 west of Highway 89, according to a Facebook post from the CHP’s South Lake Tahoe office. Officers responding to the report found three people near a vehicle.
Officers arrested a man who was on felony probation in Santa Clara County on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, CHP said.

A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and crack cocaine, according to CHP.
A third person was detained, but CHP did not say in the post whether that person was arrested.
