Range Midtown opened in late April on 1813 Capitol Ave., according to its social media. With a full bar and patio, the restaurant serves brunch and dinner.
It replaced Sibling by Pushkin’s, which closed last December after nine years in operation, according to previous reporting from The Sacramento Bee.
Scott Kingston, senior vice president of Turton Commercial Real Estate, the group behind Range Kitchen & Tap in Roseville, considers the new restaurant an expansion of midtown’s food scene, especially on Capitol Avenue. He wrote that Range is a restaurant that “adds another reason to spend time in midtown.”
“Capitol Avenue has always been where food, culture and neighborhood life come together,” Kingston wrote on social media. “And Range is a perfect addition to that momentum.”

In addition to the brunch and dinner menus, Range also offers a happy hour menu, according to the Turton website. The website says there is an emphasis on food prepared in house, such as grinding its own beef for hamburger and making chicken stock daily.
Besides pizza and burgers, the restaurant’s other popular dishes include fried chicken, elk in peppercorn sauce and homemade meatloaf in mushroom gravy.
The business is an expansion of its original Roseville location on 1420 East Roseville Parkway.
Range is opened daily Mondays to Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
