The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the man involved in an ATV crash in the Antelope section of northeastern Sacramento County.

He was identified as Carlos Padilla Jr., 22, of Citrus Heights.
The crash was reported about 5:22 p.m. on North Old Antelope Road, a frontage road next to the J.R. Davis Rail Yard.
Officer Justin Fetterly, a spokesperson for the CHP’s North Sacramento office, said two adult men were racing quad bikes when one rider lost control, struck a fence and thrown from the bike.
Padilla was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other rider was not injured, Fetterly said.

A GoFundMe campaign created for Padilla’s family said he was the sole provider for his family.
“The loss is unimaginable, and the road ahead is filled with challenges,” the GoFundMe said. “The funds raised will help cover essential bills, provide for Wyatt’s needs, and support Caidee as she navigates this heartbreaking new chapter.”
The fundraiser had raised more than $16,000 toward its $30,000 goal as of Tuesday.
