Most of the early NBA draft discussions in Sacramento have focused on what the Kings will do with their first-round pick at No. 7, but they also have two second-round picks at No. 34 and No. 45.

Those picks were the focal point Friday as the Kings held their first pre-draft workout at the team’s Golden 1 Center practice facility. The workout featured six players: Houston shooting guard Emanuel Sharp, Duke center Maliq Brown, Auburn power forward Keyshawn Hall, Louisville shooting guard Isaac McKneely, Grand Canyon small forward Jaden Henley and Xavier power forward Tre Carroll.
All six players in Friday’s workout profile as second-round picks or undrafted free agents. Brown, Hall and Sharp might be the most likely players to hear their names called when the draft is held June 23-24 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“It was a great workout,” Sharp said. “A lot of great guys in here, great staff helping us out, real high energy, real competitive. We got a lot of good work in. I’m not trying to show anything crazy. I’m just coming in here and playing my game.”
Brown agreed.
“It was a very good workout,” Brown said. “A lot of good talent here. For me personally, I’m just trying to showcase my offensive skills and definitely show my defense.”
Here’s a closer look at the players who participated in Friday’s workout.
Emanuel Sharp
School: Houston
Position: Shooting guard
Height: 6-4
Weight: 208
Age: 22
Sharp averaged 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds,1.7 assists and 1.2 steals as a senior to help Houston reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. He shot 41.3% from the field and 37.2% from 3-point range while averaging 7.1 3-point attempts per game. Sharp doesn’t have tremendous size or length for his position after measuring 6-2 ¾ (without shoes) with a 6-3 wingspan at the NBA combine, but he has potential as a 3-and-D wing.

Maliq Brown
School: Duke
Position: Power forward/center
Height: 6-9
Weight: 225
Age: 22
Brown averaged 4.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 62.9% from the field in 20.2 minutes per game as a senior at Duke. Brown is an outstanding defender with great length. He measured 6-8 (without shoes) with a 7-0 ¾ wingspan at the NBA combine. He averaged 9.2 rebounds and 3.2 steals per 36 minutes this season.
Keyshawn Hall
School: Auburn
Position: Power forward
Height: 6-7
Weight: 225
Age: 23
Hall averaged 19.3 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists as a senior at Auburn to help the Tigers win the NIT championship. He shot 45.1% from the field and 37.9% from 3-point range while averaging 4.7 3-point attempts per game. Hall measured 6-6 (without shoes) with a 6-10 ½ wingspan at the NBA combine. He previously played for UNLV, George Mason and UCF.
Isaac McKneely
School: Louisville
Position: Shooting guard
Height: 6-4
Weight: 195
Age: 22
McKneely averaged 10.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 41.6% from the field and 39.5% from 3-point range as a senior to help Louisville reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament. McKneely spent his first three years at Virginia, where he averaged 14.4 points in 2024-25. He was a career 41.4% 3-point shooter over four college seasons.
Jaden Henley
School: Grand Canyon
Position: Small forward
Height: 6-7
Weight: 210
Age: 22
Henley averaged 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 46.6% from the field as a senior at Grand Canyon. Henley previously played for Minnesota, Depaul and UNLV. His 3-point shooting fluctuated from year to year, going from 37.8% to 26.9% in his first two years and 35.1% to 26.8% in his last two years.
Tre Carroll
School: Xavier
Position: Power forward
Height: 6-8
Weight: 235
Age: 23
Carroll averaged 17.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 blocks as a senior at Xavier. He shot 50.1% from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range while attempting 4.2 3-point attempts per game. Carroll spent his first three years of college at Florida Atlantic, where he was a part of the school’s first and only Final Four team in 2023.
