Join The Sacramento Bee and our other McClatchy newsrooms in California live on election night, Tuesday, June 2, for a free discussion/Q&A with our editors and reporters covering the primary, including opinion editor Marcos Bretón and Capitol Bureau editor Lauren Chapman. This virtual event will take place at 6:30 p.m., shortly before polls close at 8 p.m. We’ll do our best to answer your questions about where things stand via Zoom chat. We’ll be live again at noon on Wednesday, June 3, as votes are still being counted. What races have we called, and what are our early takeaways? We’ll tackle that and more during this lunchtime webinar moderated by Grace Wyler, our AME for Politics and Investigations. Register for the post-election breakdown event here.

The day of the event, you’ll get an email reminder an hour beforehand. Click on the link to join us at the start time. Once the digital doors open, we’ll go through a general discussion about where things stand before moving onto what’s on your mind. You’ll be able to ask questions in the chat, with the panelists answering as many as possible — and other Bee journalists responding in writing.

The board’s endorsement process is walled off from the newsroom, so it doesn’t influence our reporting.
