A bicyclist was killed late Tuesday after colliding with a car in North Sacramento, according to police.

The cyclist was pronounced dead shortly after the 10:45 p.m. crash in the Hagginwood neighborhood, in the 3200 block of Marysville Boulevard between Arcade and Los Robles boulevards.
The Sacramento Police Department said the car’s driver stayed at the scene as officers investigated the crash. Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the fatal collision.

Sacramento police major collision and crime scene investigators responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
The male cyclist has not been identified. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release his identity after next of kin have been notified.
