Two killed in separate solo ATV crashes in Kings County identified

The men killed in two separate solo ATV crashes in Kings County have been identified by the coroner’s office this week as Manuel Vazquez Casirimo, of Tulare and Corey Reenders of Hanford. The accidents happened five days apart.

Reenders was killed in an ATV crash Saturday outside of Hanford near State Route 43.

According to the CHP, the 49-year-old Hanford man was riding a 1991 Honda ATV vehicle west within a dry riverbed of the Kings River near State Route 43 and Denver Avenue when he lost control. Reenders was ejected as it overturned and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vazquez Casirimo died on June 16 when his ATV overturned near Fifth and Nevada avenues outside Corcoran.

The 49-year-old from Tulare was killed when he was thrown from his ATV. Vazquez Casirimo was riding the off-highway all-terrain vehicle west on the north shoulder of Nevada Avenue approaching Fifth Avenue at an undetermined speed before losing control and being ejected, the CHP reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It has not been determined if alcohol or drug use contributed to either of the crashes, the CHP said. The collisions remain under investigation.
