Indiana suffered a first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces in the 2026 WNBA playoffs. While the Fever forced a do-or-die Game 3, they simply couldn’t slow down star center A’ja Wilson.

In the deciding Game 3, Wilson exploded for 36 points and 10 rebounds. As for the Fever, Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 23 points, while Clark tallied 18 points, four assists, two steals and four blocks.

While it’s a disappointing turn of events, Clark has made many great memories this year that she will always fondly remember. One of them was her gold-medal run with Team USA in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in September.

Clark was part of the national team along with Fever teammate Aliyah Boston. White, meanwhile, was a member of the coaching staff led by Team USA head coach Kara Lawson.

Team USA beat France in the championship game of the tournament, completing a perfect 6-0 run.

During her exit interview, Clark said that winning the gold with White will always be “special” to her.

“I think one of my most special memories of this year is getting to win a gold medal with her in Berlin,” Clark said when talking about her relationship with her Fever head coach.

“That’s not something anybody can ever take away from us, and I think that’s something that’s just we’ll both probably keep in our offices and have those memories together.”

In the same press conference, Clark also shared her appreciation for White, highlighting that the veteran head coach has always supported her. Furthermore, she emphasized that she admires White’s “fiery passion.”

It remains to be seen what will happen to White after failing to lead the Fever past the second round for the second straight year. The 49-year-old coach herself acknowledged that it’s up to the organization to decide whether she will return.

Whatever the case may be, Clark has made it clear that she has nothing but respect for White.
